South Stoke Parish Council Newsletter re Core Strategy    18 November, 2013

Over this last weekend BANES Council has published amendments to the submitted Core Strategy for the new Local Plan.  These include a map showing the allocation of strategic sites where it is intended to take land from the Green Belt/AONB. For our Parish, their accompanying policy B1.A applies. Please use the link below to see the details online.

In South Stoke they propose to remove the majority of the plateau land from the Green Belt leaving only the small field between the Brantwood footpath [Ref. BA22/2] and South Stoke Lane.

Your Parish Council has arranged a Public Meeting in the Parish Hall at 7.00 pm on Monday 25th November to show you these plans, to hear your views and to tell you how you can comment on them.

We have printed BANES map showing the location of proposed development sites in our Parish on the reverse of this newsletter.  Please study these carefully and attend the Public Meeting on 25th November to help us to defend against this outrageous proposal.

Your comments on these proposals must be returned to BANES by December 20th (barely 4 weeks away!) so urgent action is needed to make our views known.

You can do this by emailing your online comments form to core_strategy@bathnes.gov.uk [This form is found on www.bathnes.gov.uk/corestrategy].

Or you can write to BANES Planning Policy team at Planning Policy, Core Strategy Amendments, BANES Council, P.O.Box 5006. Bath, BA1 1JG.

Make sure you give careful details of the amendments to which your comments apply.

If you have any queries in the meantime please raise them by email through our Clerk, Geoff Davies on southstokeclerk@hotmail.com or phone 01225 840201, or speak to any Parish Councillor.
